Meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by President Harold Dickerson.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Council Members Present: Phyllis Dickerson, Harold Dickerson, Kim Kollek-Jewell, Robert Gentner, Christine Williams, Cathy Mulholland, and Tom Cameron.
Absent: None.
Also Present: Police Chief: Matt Balsley, Attorney: John Gormley, Treasurer: Brian Swett, and
Clerk: Karen McGuire.
Additions / Deletions to Agenda: None.
Guest Comments on the Agenda: None.
MOTION by H. Dickerson, seconded by Mulholland to approve the agenda. All ayes. Motion carried.
MOTION by Kollek-Jewell, seconded by Cameron to approve the June 24, 2014 minutes. All ayes.
Motion carried.

COMMITTEE REPORTS
9.1 Personnel / Police / Transfer Station / Insurance / Retirement
Chief Balsley reported that the Festival went well. There were no problems with the beer tent. Cameron commented that the parade was really good this year. Williams requested that in the future someone sing or play the national anthem or America the Beautiful before the fireworks begin. It would have been nice to have an announcement before the tribute to Chief Sheldon this year.
9.2 DPW / Municipal Buildings / Park
No Report. Cameron commented that the grass still has not been mowed at 327 Main Street. Williams said the yard next door to Village Hall is too long too.
9.3 Street / Sidewalks / Newsletter / Web Site
No Report.
9.4 Sewer / Codes
No Report.
9.5 Zoning / Ordinances / Annex / 425 / DDA
No Report. Gentner asked if the Village Ordinance regarding fireworks has anything about how late they can be set off. Chief Balsley replied that there is no time mentioned in the Ordinance. It was discussed that State law supersedes Village law.
9.6 SSESA
Mulholland gave the monthly report. There were five runs in the Village and 151 runs for all of SSESA in the month of May. Year to date for all of SSESA there have been 714 runs.

No Report. The next meeting will be July 29th at 3:00 p.m.

No Report. The Committee will meet on July 29th at 6:00 p.m.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
10.1 Roads
MOTION by P. Dickerson, seconded by Williams to accept the 06/20/14 proposal from One Way for work on Walker Drive, Howard Street, South Street, Second Street, and Morrice Road for $26,480.00.
ADDENDUM to MOTION by P. Dickerson, seconded by Williams to approve a combined limit of $30,000.00 for this road repair without further approval.
Roll Call: Ayes: Cameron, Mulholland, Gentner, P. Dickerson, Williams, Kollek-Jewell, H. Dickerson. Nays: None. Absent: None. Motion carried.
Gentner mentioned that there are a couple of bad spots on South Street that should be filled in before the cold weather. He wondered if anyone else has noticed any others and if the DPW could cold patch them. There is one on Morrice Road at the corner of Lansing.

10.3 Construction Board of Appeals
Gormley reported that Webberville is voting on the agreement tonight. Should hear from them soon.
10.4 St. Mary Catholic Church – Petition for Special Use Permit
The Public Hearing is set for the next regular meeting on July 22nd.
